I have experience in assisting my clients in those negotiations.<\/p>\n<p>As your lawyer, I will:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>listen to your story and ask questions until we are absolutely sure we have all the relevant information<\/li>\n<li><span lang=\"en\">explain to you which documents are relevant to demonstrate these facts<\/span><\/li>\n<li>explain to to you the possibilities in an abduction procedure<\/li>\n<li>explain to you how the court will look at your case<\/li>\n<li>present your interests and arguments to the other party<\/li>\n<li>see if we can be creative to find a solution acceptable to both parties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you prefer, I can give advice in the background, without communicating directly to the other party. You can then continue to do the negotiations yourself.<\/p>\n<p>If your current lawyer conducts the negotiations for you, I will be happy to inform and advise you and your lawyer. Most family lawyers only have to deal with an international child abduction case every once in a while. Because abduction procedures are deal with in a short period of time, it is efficient if I can quickly point your lawyer to the relevant legal sources and think together with you and your lawyer about the strategy to be pursued.<\/p>\n<p>If you participate in Cross Border Mediation in the Netherlands, you will participate in the talks together with the other parent and the 2 mediators. The lawyers do not take part in those talks.
