Most Central Authorities prefer or demand to speak to a lawyer in stead of the parent.<\/p>\n<p>As your lawyer, before starting a procedure, I can:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Contact the Central Authority<\/li>\n<li>Make inquiries about the possibility of cross border mediation<\/li>\n<li>Alert border patrol<\/li>\n<li>Contact the local police or prosecutor&#8217;s office<\/li>\n<li>Help you locate your child<\/li>\n<li>Help you prevent the other parent from disappearing with the child, or taking it to yet another country<\/li>\n<li>Get the social services involved<\/li>\n<li>Urge the other parent to allow video calls to re-establish contact with your child<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Where can you find the address of the Central Authority?<\/h3>\n<p>You can find the address or contact information of the Central Authority of many states on the website of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hcch.net\/en\/instruments\/conventions\/publications1\/?dtid=42&amp;cid=24\">HCCH<\/a> or in the website <a href=\"https:\/\/carefulchildrelocation.com\/\">Careful Child Relocation<\/a>. It is advisable to ask for the assistance of a lawyer when contacting the Central Authority.<\/p>\n<h3>Will the Central Authority find a lawyer for you?<\/h3>\n<p>In many countries the Central Authority can help you find a lawyer from their list of qualified lawyers.
