Custody:
Care arrangement
Sharing the care for your children is about taking responsibility and about maintaning a close relationship. A well thought through care arrangement can help.
During mediation we will discuss:
- how the care for the children was divided during the marriage
- whether it is preferable or necessary to change that division of care after the divorce
- the distance between the two houses, school etc.
- the age of the children and their needs at that age
- any special needs or wishes that the children may have
- the practical aspects of traveling, handover, the costs of traveling etc.
- the role and wishes of others (sibligs, grandparents etc.)
We can discuss how the child can be a part of the mediation process, for instance by allowing the child to have a meeting with a child pychologist, such as The Hague Psychologist, who work with both adults and children.
