When you are going through a divorce, it is important to communicate with your child. Reading books together can be a wonderful way to get the conversation started.
The website Muddy Stilettos asked Family Lawyer, Annabel Andreou, to make a list of children books about divorce for children age 3-7, age 8-11 and age 12+.

One of the reasons to talk to your child about the divorce could be the fact that you want to try to get them involved in the process of writing the parenting plan. The extent to which this is possible, and the manner in which it is done, obviously depends on the age of the child.
