Vakanties
Een jaarplanning maken voor de weken dat de school gesloten is en voor de vakanties van het gezin kan moeilijk zijn. Vooral wanneer de ouders een internationale carrière hebben, of wanneer de kinderen (half)broers en zussen hebben die in verschillende landen wonen. Sommige landen hebben totaal verschillende schoolroosters. In Brazilië bijvoorbeeld loopt een schoolperiode meestal van februari tot juni en van augustus tot december. Dit is moeilijk te combineren met de schoolvakanties in Nederland, waar kinderen 6 weken vrij hebben in de zomer en 2 weken voor Kerstmis. U kunt het rooster van de Nederlandse scholen hier bekijken overheidswebsite. Het exacte schema hangt af van de regio waarin de school zich bevindt.
Tijdens de bemiddeling kunnen we de omgangsregeling bespreken en aandacht besteden aan:
- wat zijn de kinderen gewend, als het gaat om vakanties en feestdagen?
- wat zijn de logistieke uitdagingen?
- wat zijn de reiskosten?
- waar zullen de (half)broers en zussen en andere (uitgebreide) familieleden de vakantie doorbrengen?
- moeten hun banden met een land en zijn cultuur in aanmerking worden genomen?
Een vakantie doorbrengen als bledse familie kan stressvol zijn. U kunt advies vragen aan een steph oudercoach.
