Reizen zonder begeleiding
Ouders kunnen van mening verschillen over de vraag of kinderen oud genoeg zijn om zonder een van de ouders te reizen.
Tijdens de bemiddeling kunnen we bespreken:
- ervaringen van kinderen met (lange) reizen
- de leeftijd en de capaciteiten van de kinderen
- de meningen en gevoelens van beide ouders over alleen reizen
- hoe de kinderen kunnen worden voorbereid
- hoe de kinderen kunnen oefenen voordat ze alleen reizen
- hoe kinderen in contact kunnen blijven tijdens het reizen
- de alternatieven en de voor- en nadelen.
De afspraken over onbegeleid reizen kunnen een onderdeel worden van de opvoedingsplan.
De luchtvaartmaatschappij stelt zelf voorwaarden aan het onbegeleid reizen van minderjarigen. KLMstaat bijvoorbeeld dat je voor kinderen van 5 tot en met 14 jaar altijd de Unaccompanied Minor-service moet boeken bovenop het gewone ticket. Voor minderjarigen van 15, 16 of 17 jaar is deze service slechts facultatief.
